We have today launched our new nameservers

It has taken a while to sort out the DNS issues, caused by yours truly typing 115 instead of 15, that was my mistake last year and I will be more careful in the future and yes it proves I am human.

But finally after some testing we no have our own nameservers.

  • ns1.chicsystems.com
  • ns2.chicsystems.com

These servers have their own dedicated IP address and are used for our Starteck hosting account. Whilst the account is Linus based it does support most MS functions. We can offer clients their own control panel all from £15 pa.

We still retain our 1and1 server accounts and we are shortly launching a new server based in Europe and using Direct Admin. Having these servers makes life easier to handle DNS changes and transfers. new Euro servers will have a limit of the number of websites per server to maintain the speed.

We will therefore have a wide choice of hosting which will enable us to not just balance our client load but choose the most appropiate server for the client and their website. Depending on a clients level of experience and needs we will be able to set up the access side to better suit the client.

As always we are looking at further developments and improvements so keep and eye on our site for the latest updates.
