We completed this week the server transfers for Partipeeps and our Chicsystems main server. We did this via WHM multi account transfers, apart from a few Dns zone changes it went very well and there was only a short amount of downtime to the chicsystems server due to the size and amount of accounts being transfered. We are now ready for the next stage of the server re-organisation where we split the load between the UK and Cyprus accounts.

All new Joomla 1.6

After almost 2 years in development Joomla are about to release the first full version of the All new Joomla 1.6 in the next few days. The RC version is already out.

We have been using Joomla 1.5x on most live sites for a few years and this new version is a major step forward. We will test and first implement on our Cyprus site www.chicsystems.com and then if successfull and stable implement for our clients.

However as Mambo now seems to have had its day we will first migrate this site from mambo to Joomla 1.6. It will be a shame after many years on the mambo platform. There are many sites still on Mambo and this process will enable us to test and get right the process of conversion to the latest Jooml. We will report on progress as sooon as we have completed the migration progress.
