There are a number of directory sites and we have always been keen to get involved in one and we are now happy to be involved in FindtheUK.

The site is installed and passed testing and is now accepting listings.

Currently it is free to be listed in the Directory. For initial listings they will be also featured free of charge. Banner adverts are also available for £5 pa. As the site gains in popularity and gains more visitors there will be higher charges and further requirements. All sites added during the initial period will however remain free for life.

The site is already in Googles index. We have begun adding the Chicsystems portfolio to the directory and we have already had the first outside addition prior to full launch and a couple of client who added their own sites before we did.

 Now the site is live we are continuing work on the look and feel, shortly we will be adding a captcha system to the submission form to stop bots using the directory and until we are happy with the system we are manually approving the listings.

The site initially has been developed using a PHP directory system. Later a new front page will be added. This will have a single window size with 3 easy to use search systems designed to get relevant results in only 2 or 3 clicks.

The 3 choices will be

• Map clicking with drill down
• Pick a business type and area
• Instant search for business name or details

A lot of reaserach has been done on other directories and seach engines.There is a need for a new player with some innovative features. We hope FindtheUK willill this need.
