There are a number of directory sites and we have always been keen to get involved in one and we are now happy to be involved in FindtheUK.

The site is installed and in beta mode. Listings are shortly to be added. It will be free to be in the site to start with. When the site has a ranking and good exposure a small charge will be made for featured listing. There will also be free istings. The main ethos of the site will be

• As many entries as possible ranked at random for even exposure
• Paid ranking above free entries
• Relevant links and adverts
• Fast efficient seraching
• New 3 way easy to use interface

The site initially has been developed using a PHP directory system. Later a new front page will be added. This will have a single window size with 3 easy to use search systems designed to get relevant results in only 2 or 3 clicks.

The 3 choices will be

• Map clicking with drill down
• Pick a business type and area
• Instant search for business name or details

A lot of reaserach has been done on other directories and seach engines.There is a need for a new player with some innovative features. We hope FindtheUK willill this need.
